ORIGIN HALLOWEEN 2024 (Saturday)

BIGGEST EVER ORIGIN HALLOWEEN?

Yes.. this year as we argued and cursed in the boardroom over how to expand our ever-increasing Halloween production to the next level, the meeting decorum quickly descended into a barrage of verbal abuse with four letter words threatening violence and ending in an almighty food fight with bits of boerewors and mustard hotdogs propelled through the air with great force and precision.

Thankfully before the situation deteriorated below even our substandard, the solution dawned on us, and a rather cunning and ingenious solution it is too; Simply run the event over 2 weekends instead of just 1. That way we can easier control the queues, avoid congestion, but most importantly, it allows us to DOUBLE THE PRODUCTION BUDGET something we couldnt have dreamed of, especially in this present shitcake economy.

We hereby present our BIGGEST EVER HALLOWEEN event, extending over 2 weekends, and including 4 very special events:

Sat 25 Oct (Origin)

Fri 01 Nov (hosted by Whatsgood Durban)

Sat 02 Nov (Origin)

All 4 events will have identical production, actors, haunted house, and the 3 events hosted by Origin will feature our usual music and lineups, whilst the event hosted by Whatsgood Durban on Fri 1st Nov will feature RnB, HipHop, Commercial, AmaPiano, and some old school genres.

And, as the 2nd weekend falls perfectly on the DAY OF THE DEAD, it will coincide delightfully with HALLOWEEN.

VIP TICKETS - please note that there are no VIP tickets for Halloween. The entire club, plus any new areas opened up for the halloween events, are all accessible to everyone. All tickets allow access to all areas, and they are all identical, the only difference is the price of the ticket - the earlier you buy, the cheaper it is. Why is that? That's because we reward the early buyers with cheap tickets, since their ticket sales help our cash flow. With a budget the size of this year's budget, that will be well appreciated! So if you wanna save, snap 'em up quick.

The very limited and very specially priced Dune Worm Tickets will go quickly, normally less than a week, so these tickets will be timed, and go on sale on Monday 30th Sept at 10:00am

ORIGIN PRODUCTION

As always the production level is done to Hollywood movie grade, with massive haunted house, haunted maze, creepy installations, loads of actors and sets, and club decor throughout as the entire building is transformed into an eery Halloween landscape.

Creatures of dubious origin await  🦄 Massive decor, ass-tons of pranks, gags and scares, side-splitting laughs, screeches and yelps, and of course a foot long list of throbbing thumping DJs.

An unearthly birth of a creepy mutant landscape filled with undead corpses, werewolves, vampires and mutants, themselves being haunted by even more deranged scientific, genetic, and spiritual experiments gone tragically wrong, all occulted by a forwards-backwards timeloop paradox, wrapped in an unsolvable mystery, and slow-roasted in a burning hot enigma of screams and laughter.

Prepare your soul to enter ORIGIN’s sinister underwolrd, a fantastical neon horror movie expanse, cloaked in eery darkness and pumped with special effects, sordid surprises, juicy plump victims and villains. 

Further details about the HALLOWEEN INTERIOR are as usual being fiercely guarded by demonic wardens, but operatives are risking their lives to bring you and tantalising titbits of information.. Flashes of the terror contained within will be brought into the public domain if and when obtainable, and by any means necessary. And he means "any means" necessary.

THE MAZE ENTRY 🌀 This year the haunted maze gets a tiny bit more trickery, twistery, and subterfugery. For anyone who is very claustrophobic or anxious and does not want to enter the maze, they can now choose to enter the club directly without passing through the maze entrance. However, we really dont recommend this, as the maze is designed with safety and enjoyment in mind, and it's Halloween... so push yourself, you'll love it afterwards we promise! You can always come through the maze again later in the night if it leaves you gagging for more! 

DRESS IN THEME 💃 at Origin Halloween everyone goes all out and the weird ones are the people dressed normally. Whenever a lengthy queue forms at any periods throughout the weekend, PRIORITY will be given to those DRESSED IN THEME.
