Curates feat Fabio (TOYTOY): Engine Rooms at CRCL Launch - 5 December 2025

Curates opens a new chapter in Durban’s underground scene with the launch of its Friday night residency in the Engine Rooms at CRCL, previously Origin. Curates and CRCL fully support the LGBTQ+ community, standing firmly for diversity and equal inclusion on our dancefloor. Built on the principles of respect, inclusivity, and musical integrity, Curates and CRCL continues its commitment to providing a safe space for all. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of discrimination, harassment, or behavior that compromises the wellbeing of our community.

This residency introduces Durban’s first weekly underground house and techno night powered by a full Funktion-One sound system, a space designed for focused listening, deeper connection, and club culture that prioritizes the music. To protect that experience, Curates has implemented a no-photo, no-video policy across all rooms, allowing guests to be fully present without cameras or distractions.

For the launch, Engine Room 1 hosts Fabio (TOYTOY), Mike Eye, joining as one of the new out of town Curates resident, Curates founder LoTech, and Curates resident Layla J. Engine Room 2 opens with Curates residents Nowh and Metta, introducing a second space dedicated to stripped-back, forward-thinking sounds.

Curates invites Durban’s community into a night shaped by quality music, responsible club culture, and an environment where everyone is welcome. This is the beginning of a new weekly staple for the city’s electronic music landscape.
